We launched The HOPE Foundation in Orlando this August and as our first initiative we are conducting a HOPE Drive to close out the year!
This year, we ask that you bring a gift to EvolvHealth Corporate Offices to help benefit teenagers and young adults undergoing chemotherapy treatments. This is a difficult time for them and staying positive and upbeat is of the utmost importance for their recovery. Even if we can’t cure their illness, we CAN brighten the day for a child who is facing a path, that even for adults, can be scary.
All donations will be given to Anna’s Closet, a project by the 1 Million 4 Anna Foundation. Anna’s Closet currently has locations in Dallas, San Antonia and Atlanta. For more information about 1 Million 4 Anna, visit https://www.1million4anna.org/.

Why we chose Anna’s Closet:
At EvolvHealth, we consider ourselves a family, so when one of our family members, Marketing Incentives Coordinator Amy Pfeffer, was diagnosed with breast cancer we locked arms with her and supported her through her journey.
“I took away from it more than it could take away from me,” Amy shared. “I realized Evolv was different than any other company out there when another woman I spoke with who had just heard about her diagnosis was more devastated because she knew she would lose her job becuase of all the hours she would have to take off for treatments. Throughout my treatment, I was able to work from my chemo chair. Knowing that my job was safe when I got better really made my day to day a lot easier to cope with. Evolv stuck by me like a family member who would do anything for you to make sure you had everything you needed to get better. The support I saw from my family, friends and Evolv helped me keep a positive attitude and I have been in remission since September.”
Another member of our team, Manager of Corporate Communications Nikki Baulisch, faced a hardship when a close friend of hers, Anna Basso, was diagnosed in November 2009 with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of a bone and soft tissue cancer that primarily affects children and young adults between the ages of 10 and 20. Nikki was Anna’s babysitter for many years and fondly referred to her and her older sister Patrice as “the little sisters she never had”.
“When I got the news of Anna’s passing, I was at work,” Nikki shared. “After trying to push aside my emotions and get through the day, I realized I no longer could remain at the office and had to get home and, as silly as it may sound, hug my mother. I began to walk out of the office and stopped into the conference room to tell Brent and Craig I was leaving for the day. Before I could even get a word out, I had collapsed in tears. They helped me onto a chair and sat there, I could tell they were sincerely worried and saddened by what I was going through. Brent had lost his brother earlier that year and although my ‘sibling’ wasn’t by blood – he shared with me the wisdom he had gained from his experience which allowed me to find comfort that it would eventually be OK. This year, watching my teammate, Amy, go through chemotherapy definitely brought back some memories I had tried to suppress. However, I knew from experience that what she needed more than anything was someone to help her stay positive. Ana Lowry and I actually filmed a ‘we miss you’ video for her when she was going through her first surgery. At Evolv, we are a family and when one of us is hurting it’s amazing how much this company pitches in to lift each other up.”
