Peer Reviewed Study of elevATP™, the Active Ingredient in Evolv ActivateATP
Dallas, TX, May 30, 2013 — EvolvHealth has announced the release of a recent study on the effects of elevATP™ on blood ATP levels, published by The Journal of Aging Research and Clinical Practice. ElevATP is the active ingredient in Evolv ActivateATP, a plant-based energy boosting beverage.
“Evolv ActivateATP is a breakthrough product,” shared EvolvHealth Chief Science Officer Anne Bodak Smith B.S., D.C. “Athletes know the value of increased ATP production without the corresponding lactate increase, but ATP production has an impact on all of us as we age. Since launching the product in February 2013, we are extremely pleased with the results we are seeing from Evolv ActivateATP and we are thrilled to make this study available to everyone. This is just the beginning of the research being done on this remarkable proprietary plant-based product. We are committed to H.O.P.E. and Evolv ActivateATP is a fundamental part of Helping Other People Evolv.”
The study monitored the effect of a single encapsulated dose of 150 mg of elevATP™ or placebo on 18 healthy fasting subjects. Mitochondria are the primary energy generating organelles of the cell, producing Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) through a chain of enzyme complexes. During the process of aging, intracellular ATP decreases and the ability to generate ATP is diminished. The results of this study definitively show that elevATP™ significantly increased blood ATP levels with respect to the baseline, and versus the placebo, which had no effect.

About The Journal of Aging Research & Clinical Practice
The aim of this new journal is to more closely connect research on aging and clinical practice in several fields including Alzheimer’s disease, memory and physical decline, sarcopenia, nutrition, and other age-related diseases or syndromes. The size of our older adult population is growing fast, mostly in new emerging countries from Asia, South America and Africa. In the next few decades, these regions will need to benefit from all that has already been accomplished during the last century in Northern America and Western Europe. The Journal of Aging Research and Clinical Practice (J.A.R.C.P) is a new initiative of the IAGG (International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics), and of the GARN (IAGG’s Global Aging Research Network), dedicated to publishing latest findings and clinical experiences in the fields of aging, gerontology and geriatrics.
