Congratulations to Alyssa Kennedy of Maple Grove, MN who is one of our recent e84 Winners! Alyssa joined EvolvHealth Chief Science Officer Anne Smith B.S., D.C. and shared more of her amazing story!
“I started Evolv just about 3 months ago and I love that I finally found a way to eat things that are better for me and I don’t have to starve while consuming them (like a diet would have me do). I have an incredibly sensitive stomach, so I was hoping it’d help me have a regular diet again, boost my energy, and maybe take some pain away too.
“I have pretty bad digestion issues. I’m lactose intolerant, I have irritable bowel syndrome, and every two months my digestive system crashes for some unknown reason. By crashes, I mean it feels as though someone is stabbing me in the abdomen 24 hours a day for at least a week, if not a month. Gastroenterologists did many tests on me this past summer and could not figure out why it crashes. Normally when it does this, I can’t eat anything but the healthiest of foods, and they cannot have any added bad sugar or fat. About a month ago, my system started crashing, so I had nothing but vegetables, Activia, pita bread and hummus, and shake (3 shakes total) for two days and my system was back to normal by the third morning. It normally takes an entire week! I’m so happy that I now have a solution to a problem that has been impeding my life for so long.
“Also, Activate has helped me immensely at school. I took some very hard classes this semester, and I was able to study much longer with way more focus, and I was able to pay much better attention in class too. It’s 12 A.M. and I forgot to do my statistics homework that’s due at the time of my exam at 8 A.M.? No problem, I’ve got Activate, haha. That actually did happen, and I did much better than expected on both.
“Lastly, Limitless is my savior. I’ve had back and neck problems all my life. On top of that I got rear ended almost two years ago which injured my lower back, and then just under a year later when I was almost healed I received another lower back injury from snow tubing. The last injury was in February, and I’ve had to go to the chiropractor once or twice a week due to it until I was introduced to Limitless three months ago. My insurance only pays for 26 visits a year, and my parents didn’t believe that I had an injury that was causing me that much pain, so for two months I paid out of pocket for my visits because I was saving the last of my insurance paid visits for the end of this year, praying that they’d actually last that long. Ever since Limitless, it’s almost as though I’ve never been injured. I only have to go to the chiropractor once a month since being introduced to it. Soon, I won’t have to go at all.
“Because I’ve been able to Evolv my health, I’ve also been able to Evolv my mind too. I’ve never been so confident and my life now finally has direction thanks to my amazing Evolv family here in Minnesota. I am overall a much better person and I love, am blessed to have, and make the most of every day I’m given.”
